Space-Based Laser Missile Defense

The Air Force/Ballistic Missile Defense Organization Space-Based Laser (SBL) program is a program to demonstrate the integration of a high-energy laser in space and the shoot down of a missile target representative of potential threats that the US may face in the future. The program is the Integrated Flight Experiment (IFX) and is conducted by a Joint Venture Team of Boeing, Lockheed and TRW.

Colorado Precision has provided consulting support under contract with TRW to provide precision machine/process design and engineering.

CPPI has worked with Schafer Corp. in supporting the System Requirements Review (SRR) and System Design Review (SDR) in the development of several of the specification documents.
